Gene Thurston has over 35 years in managing his own businesses and assisting business owners. His experience includes public accounting, sales management and executive management of a broad spectrum of companies including financial services, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, distribution, retail sales and pawn shops. He has sat in the chair of an owner who has had to make the tough decisions and has struggled on occasion to meet payroll. He understands firsthand the importance of budgets, cash flow management, establishing and meeting goals and maintaining relationships with lenders.

Gene has successfully assisted small and medium sized businesses secure more than $137 million in new financing. Numerous companies have sought his assistance in improving the balance sheet and operations and then securing new financing. Whether it be financial consulting, assistance in turning around a business or negotiations for loans, Gene Thurston has the ability to see the issues and help companies improve.

Gene is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a BS degree in Accounting and a minor in Business. He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1972 in the state of Idaho. He has been married for 41 years and is the proud parent of 7 children and 15 grandchildren. His family is his passion and enjoyment. When not with his family he enjoys travel, exercising and reading – especially biographies of the great leaders of our nation.

Greg Newberry

Greg comes to Source Capital as an advisor with more than 25 years of experience in the commercial banking world. Most recently Greg served as a Commercial Loan Officer with Home Federal Savings Bank.

Prior to Home Federal Greg spent 15 years as a member of the DL Evans organization in Twin Falls, Idaho. While at DL Evans, Greg served as Branch Manager, Regional Development Officer and Senior Commercial Lender.

Greg’s experience at DL Evans provides him with the depth of experience that enables him to see financing opportunities from the lenders’ side of the desk.

Mr. Newberry also spent three years as a Chief Financial Officer of a Magic Valley communications company. While with this company he made a major contribution in that Company’s effort to become a Motorola MotoStar Shop in the Pacific Northwest.

In addition to his banking experience, Greg is a graduate of Idaho State University with a degree in Finance.

Tina Sutton

Tina Moyle Sutton has over 25 years in both corporate and small business accounting. The past five years she has specialized in small business accounting. She assists Source Capital with accounting review and full charge bookkeeping duties as needed by their clients.

Prior to partnering with Source Capital, she was employed with BMHC, a building materials corporation, for 20 years. She worked in all areas accounting, Accounts Payable Manager, Fixed Assets Manager, and assistant to the controller, where one of her projects was budgeting for the entire company. She also went assisted in the process of BMHC becoming a publicly traded company.

Tina’s range of hands on accounting experience enables her to go into a variety of businesses and apply new methods and controls. Her skills are invaluable for companies that are looking to have monthly internal bank and financial statements reviewed, and/or companies wanted to develop duel control in their financial departments.

Tina is a graduate of Idaho State University with a degree in Finance. She has two children, ages 15 and 13, and loves to ski, hunt and ride motorcycles with her family.
